This book is very enriching for couples who are serious about developing new and heart warming ways to connect with each other. It is important to shift out of tension states when having couples time. Often in earlier times I would find myself longing for a certain quality of care from my partner. Yet, I didn't know how to ask for it. I would say things like, " I want you to be more romantic." Even if my partner wanted to be more romantic he would find himself at a loss as to how.

This book offers a vast array of shared activities, both active and passive that build intimacy and trust. It is very good for the busy couple who wants and needs to make the most out of their couple's time. These are effective ways to learn intimacy skills, acceptance of self and other and how to slow down. Romance stems from these kinds of feelings. I suggest taking turns choosing activities and in this way expansion for both can happen. I send some of my couples home with my copy, because I think it works well for building solidarity.
